This inlay is simple (compared to
most of my stuff), BUT this fretboard was done for "Lemmy" from Motorhead. It
was a prototype for a new Signiture guitar being made by
Minarik Guitars. How
cool is that. |
 |
I know, I know, this is guitar body
inlay, but what can I tell you. This section is sort of becoming a catch all. I
like this shadowy wolf's head a lot and wanted to show it off. |

This is a close up of the head of a
"ROC" that was inlaid on a bishline banjo. To see the entire inlay.

a few mouse clicks to check out. |

Simple, but pretty fretboard markers
in Paua and MOP. |
|
| Not a real fancy design,
but a great use of different materials. This is the first fretboard for
Smoke Box
Instruments' new .50 Caliber guitar. This is a beautiful AAAA flame maple
neck and matching fretboard. The stars are made of Bocote wood. The gold wood
with the dark chocolate grain look absolute awesome against the maple. I love
the thinking here. There are too many fretboard markers out there just made of
Mother of Pearl or Mother of Toilet Seat. This is really a breath for fresh
air. My hat is off to Brian and Paul over at Smoke Box for having the guts to
do something different. Check out thier guitars. |

Created for Mike Dimartinis of
Sicklerville, NJ, this is MOP on a Warmonth Strat neck. This inlay was done
without removing the frets. This will make Mike's guitar very personal indeed.

The little rodent with the
supercharged engine on his back is the whimsical band logo of "Turbo Gerbil". There are
nine different types of materials used from the shell, wood, and stone
catagories. |

This is the new optional inlay for
the Ken Loper Shield
guitar. The sword and helmet are made out of silver with a copper body. The
shield is a Mother of Pearl "L" on a Paua shell frame. |
 |
This is the new standard inlay for
the Ken Loper Shield
guitar. The axe head is made of real silver. The handle is purple heart wood
and brass. The edge of the axe is Green Ripple shell. I hope to have more
pictures of this guitar soon. |
